Board of Directors Meeting

September 20, 2005

 

The meeting was held at the Madison Assembly of God Church and was opened at 6:00 pm.

 

Board Members Present:  Jim Terry, David Seitz, Rosemary Terry, Philip Gaultney, Paul Hurst

 

Board Members Absent:  Dick Clem and Keith Ryan

 

Property Manager Present:  Lois Brown

 

Visitors Present:  Tommy Overcash, Yvonne Boudreau, Carolyn Glazik, Mike Glazik

 

Report from Tommy Overcash:  Mr. Overcash asked the board to call a meeting in October to give members of the Madison City Capital Improvement Program Initiative an opportunity to explain the tax initiative to the Bradford Farms residents. Voting date for the tax initiative is November 8.

 

Reading of the Minutes:  The minutes of the previous meeting were approved via email.  After approval, the minutes were posted on the home page at http://www.bradfordfarms.com/

 

Treasurer’s Report:  One deposit for the amount of $37.50 was made this month.

 

Property Manager’s Report:  Holloway Credit Company has contacted the Bradford Farms resident who requested additional information concerning his past due debt.  The resident has not responded to the credit company.  He will be contacted again on September 22. 

Number of fees paid for 2005 171.

Number of fees not paid for 2005 15.

Number of past due accounts (2004 and before) 16.

Total fees owed for 2004 and before $8,030.00.

Total income for the month was $600.00. 

 

Architecture Committee Report:  No report.  Rik Holman presented a letter of resignation.  Carolyn Glazik reported that Dick Clem has resigned.  Jim reported the person who will grind the stumps of fallen trees will also remove the branches.

 

Landscaping Committee Report:  No report.

 

Maintenance Committee Report:  No report.

 

Welcome Committee Report:  Paul reported that he has delivered covenants and bylaws to the residents at 123 Green Springs Drive and 330 Bradford Farms Drive.

 

Old Business: 

1.  Paul reported that he was told by someone at the department of conservation of natural resources that there is no way to trap muskrats alive.  Jim will send the mayor an email about the problem.

 

2.  Lois reported that she delivered the original deed to Mrs. Murray.     

 

 

New Business: 

 

1.  The board approved the request for a storage shed at 214 Bridgeway Circle.  The written request was given to Lois Brown and she will start a file of requests.

 

2.  Paul Hurst was advised by the department of conservation of natural resources to treat one-third the lakes at a time for algae by putting copper sulfate into the lakes.  He will start this project in two weeks.    

 

3.  Lois will do the quarterly mailing October 1.

 

4.  The board agreed to send a notice in the October quarterly mailing, inviting residents to attend the October meeting and to hear members of the Madison City Capital Improvement Program Initiative speak about the tax issue.

 

5.  Lois presented the yearly mailing envelopes to Jim.

 

The next Bradford Farms Homeowners Meeting will be October 18, 2005 at the Madison Assembly of God Church at 6:00 pm.
