Association
President Dick Clem called the meeting to order at 7:10 PM at City Hall. The
minutes of the April meeting were read and a motion was made and seconded to
accept them as read.
The
Treasurers Report was read and showed the amounts:

in all accounts.
The
Treasurer is going to send letters to members who are not up to date in paying
their dues for the year 2003. Reported
that 66% percent of the total was already collected for this year. A motion was
made and seconded to accept the Treasurer’s report as read. Motion carried with
no dissent.
The
President is going to send 2 letters regarding maintenance to the homes of: 102
Champions Green Drive and 102 champions Green Lane. 102 Champions Green Drive
is for the SUV seats that are placed outside the home in view front the street
and for general clean up of the front yard.

Champions Green Lane has missing & broken shutters. The President would
like to send a letter to all residents asking them to review pages 17-22 of the
covenants to check for compliance. A motion was made and seconded to send pages
17-22 of the covenants to all residents. The President & Mark Wilson to
write cover letter. Lois Brown will get the mailing out. Motion passed with no
dissent.
Vonderri
Morris gave a report on the upcoming summer party. A motion was made & seconded to hold a “Meet the Board’
party, to be held next to the rear pond on August 9th rain date to
be the 16th. Food &non-alcoholic drinks will be provided with
Vonderri getting estimates on cost from local restaurants. She will also be
getting estimates on different types of inflatable type games for kids. The
residents are going to receive a letter regarding this at the same as the
covenant letter with an RSVP to be included on the letter. Residents will be
asked to bring a desert & any other type drink they would like to have. The
appropriation of funds will be at the next meeting. Mark Wilson said he would
secure a large tent for event. Motion passed with no dissent.
The
Rock wall in the Center Island of the front entrance to the subdivision was
damaged in an accident along with light damage to surrounding shrubs. Since
this portion was hardly visible to most residents the board made a motion and
seconded it to replace the rock wall with same type of fence that will run
parallel to Hughes Road along the property line and will be put up at the same
time. Motion passed.
The
President talked to the city officials about using the BFHA easement next to
the pump house near Green Springs to place a storage building. He was informed
of several conditions that would have to be met before it could be placed
there. A motion was made & seconded to allow the President to pursue this
& purchase an 8x10 storage building at a cost of approximately $1000.00 dollars, with the landscape chair
to control access to the building.
Motion
passed.
Kathy
Short reported on recent vandalism in the Subdivision. Several cars have been
hit with eggs, and the gazebo has had mud thrown up on the ceiling. The
President said he would delegate the clean up of the gazebo.
Resident
of 118 Champions Green Lane told Kathy they weren’t told of the easement
property behind their fence that was part the sale when the purchased the
house. It was discussed that only the homeowner could change this was to
resurvey the property so that the easement is included in the deed.
It
was also discussed about the reapportioning of City Council districts and how
the proposed changes that were published, split the subdivision in 2 parts at
the creek that runs North & South thru the middle of the subdivision.
Some
members didn’t like the idea of having a split up subdivision, one member
pointed out that it could be a positive in that we would have 2 Council members
looking out for our interests.
With
no more business to conduct a motion was made & seconded to adjourn. Motion
passed and meeting was adjourned at 8:23 PM.
