1. Updating resident information on the database – the Board agreed to remove this item from Old Business since it is and will continue to be an ongoing process
2. Madison Homeowner’s Association Council – there was no May meeting.
3. Easement Research – Paul continues to work on easement issues and is making progress.
4. Irrigation repairs – Dick reported that work has begun and is currently in process. It should be finished by the end of the summer season.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Barking dogs - Bob brought up the issue of barking dogs that become an annoyance. He was advised by Paul that any complaint about a specific dog must be brought to the Board’s attention to be handled on an individual basis, based on the particulars of the situation.
2. Unsightly objects in public view - It was brought to the attention of the Board that a freezer has been sitting on someone’s front porch, visible from the street, for a long time. Paul will advise the homeowner to move the freezer out of sight, in accordance with the rules of our Covenant.
3. Soliciting - Paul brought up the new ordinance passed in Madison Township governing soliciting. It was then moved, seconded and approved to purchase a “No Soliciting” sign which will be placed at the entrance to our subdivision. Paul will handle.
4. Community pool - Paul mentioned that he had received an email from a homeowner asking why our subdivision does not have a community swimming pool. Per discussion, it was agreed that there is not enough common space available anywhere in Bradford Farms for a pool, clubhouse and parking. This is why we have not discussed building a pool
5. Trash can removal – Paul made a motion, which was seconded, to come up with a way to penalize homeowners who fail to remove empty trash cans from the curb or to place them out of sight from the street, according to the rules of our Covenant. A lengthy discussion about this motion led to how to handle other breaches of the Covenant as well, like parking on the street, picking up after pets, maintaining properly mowed lawns, etc. Paul agreed to table his motion until the next Board meeting, so everyone has a chance to think about the situation and how best to address it.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:10 PM
