Paul was asked by our Councilmen to announce that the old Madison website is going offline and will be replaced by a new and improved one. The new website is www.madisonal.gov and it will be a good place for homeowners to look up information about what is going on in Madison.
2. Updating resident information on the database – Paul is in the process of contacting those homeowners where discrepancies appear and is giving the updated information to Lois. STATUS: in process
3. Madison Homeowner’s Association Council – Lois reported on the meeting she attended on 1/28/07. Current membership includes 3150 homes within 14 subdivisions. The main accomplishment was establishing a Mission Statement. The meeting was well attended and very productive.
4. Bushes on Bradford Farms Drive – Paul and Dick hope to get a group of residents together to remove them. STATUS: see Landscaping Report
5. Speed Humps – Bob withdrew this issue due to lack of community interest
6. Overgrowth of algae in second pond – Bob withdrew this issue due to lack of community interest. Paul will continue to treat the pond with copper sulfate.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Cleaning Bradford Farms Drive - Dick Clem brought up the question of how to keep the main entrance portions of Bradford Farms Drive clean on both sides of the median. He will do some research and report back at the next meeting.
2. Assembly of God Church - Paul mentioned that the Pastor of the Church (where the Board meets) requested permission for some of his members to do door-to-door canvassing of our subdivision to solicit membership. With advice from Lois, the Board agreed that our HOA must remain neutral and not show preference to any religious organizations. Paul will tell the Pastor.
3. Animal Waste Removal Signs - Paul suggested ordering 2 signs reminding residents that they must remove their animal waste. It was moved, seconded and approved to put the signs beside each of the 2 ponds. The Madison Police Dept will provide wording for the signs. Paul will handle.
4. No Parking Signs – Dick Clem brought up placing a NO PARKING BEYOND THIS POINT sign in front of the subdivision in the place where the phone company and other maintenance trucks park while they work. This should deter private cars from using the area for parking. It was moved, seconded and approved. Paul will buy the sign and put it up.
5. Easement Research – Paul reported on the easement research he did in January 2007. After reviewing all the records, he found 2 outstanding issues:
· Whether a few deeds from one area of the subdivision have actually been filed at the Courthouse
· Whose name is on a few other deeds from another area of the subdivision.
Lois will work with Paul to get this information from the internet. Once they have finished, they will then ask the appropriate homeowners if they want to purchase their easements.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:00 PM
