General Homeowner’s Meeting

The meeting was held at the Madison Assembly of God Church.

MINUTES FROM 03-18-08

A motion was made, seconded and approved to accept the minutes as written. They will be posted on the website.

 

 

STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS

 

Treasurer’s Report: Lois Brown

Total Income 02/20/08 – 03/18/08    $   2995.00

 

Property Manager’s Report: Lois Brown

Total expenses:             $     1606.32                                                               

Checking Account balance:       $   14499.84

6 month CD:                             $   14067.10

 

The majority of homeowners have already paid their dues, with 42 still unpaid. Final reminders will be sent on May 1 to those who still haven’t paid, to be followed up with liens after a reasonable grace period.          

 

 

SELECTED COMMITTEE REPORTS

 

Landscaping/Maintenance Committee: Dick Clem

  1. All landscape work was completed according to the current contract.
  2. All trash containers were emptied as needed.
  3. All common property was policed as needed.
  4. It was moved, seconded and approved to hire Turf Doctors to do 6 basic chemical treatments of the common grounds, in place of Turf Tamers.  Since no contract is involved, we can terminate them at any time if we are displeased. In the meantime, Turf Tamers will continue to mow and do the rest of the regular lawn maintenance as before.
  5. Clean-up of the ditch by Rainbow Elementary has been completed. Thanks to Paul Hurst for the fine work with the backhoe.
  6. Clean-up of the second pond is in progress. The first round of treatments has been finished, with one more round to be done on schedule. The brush around the pond will also be trimmed or cut down.

No new activity.

 

 

OLD BUSINESS

 

1.      Easement Research – Paul continues to work on easement issues. STATUS: in progress, only 3 left

2.      Paul is in the process of updating the e-mail list of homeowners. He has 37 left to update. Then he will send out a “test e-mail” to make sure the list is correct. In order to keep our information accurate, all homeowners should notify Paul of any personal e-mail address changes. STATUS: in progress

 

 

 

NEW BUSINESS

 

1.      Vandalism – a purple swastika was recently found painted on one of the outside entrance walls. The incident was immediately reported to the police but the perpetrators were not found. Dick Clem was able to match the color and he re-painted that portion of the wall.

2.      Maintenance needed on entrance walls – minor repairs are needed on both outside entrance walls, which Dick Clem will research and handle.
