The meeting was held at the Madison Assembly of God Church.

 

Board Members Present: Paul Hurst, Phyllis Goldberg, David Seitz, Bob Richardson, Jerry Lyons.

Absent: Dick Clem, Mark Wilson

STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS

 

Treasurer’s Report: Lois Brown (for Mark Wilson)

Total Income 02/26/06 – 03/27/06            $0 – no new income since last period

 

 

Property Manager’s Report: Lois Brown

Total expenses:             $  1,267.16                                         

Checking Account balance:            $19,629.05                

6 month CD:                             $13,662.58                            

 

 

SELECTED COMMITTEE REPORTS

 

Landscaping Committee: None, since Committee is not active at this time

 

Maintenance Committee: Paul Hurst (for Dick Clem)

I.  General Maintenance

 

 

II. Water leak in irrigation system

·        Four companies were contacted.

·        Two came out for onsite visits.

·        One of the two submitted an estimate of $590 (attached). A motion was made, seconded and approved to accept this estimate, award the contract and contact the provider to get the job started.

III. Easement Maintenance Issue

·        Property owner at 401 Barrington did not purchase his easement but has been maintaining it anyhow.  Due to family illness, he has asked that Turf Builders take over this maintenance.  The request was granted and Turf Builders will be contacted.

 

Welcome Committee: Sharon Ditto

Number of houses for sale:  6 homes and 2 lots for sale, 1 home for rent and 3 homes sold since last month

Additional Comments:  We are looking for some volunteers for our Committee.  Please call Sharon at 721-9366.

 

Architectural Committee: Ed Ditto

The letters are ready to go. No new activity has taken place.

 

COUNCIL REPORT

Councilman Tommy Overcash brought the Board up to date on recent Council activities.

 

OLD BUSINESS

 

  1. Phyllis Goldberg and Judy Hurst have been helping Paul proof the retyped pages of the Covenants.  As of today, 6 pages still remain. Once the review is completed, the document will be posted on the website along with the By-Laws.

2.      Last month Phyllis Goldberg brought up the problem of insufficient lighting at night around the median at the entrance to the subdivision. Based on Maintenance Committee review, Dick Clem will purchase and install 6 low voltage lights (3 on each side). Total cost will not exceed $100.

3.      Mark Wilson has finished updating the database engine and Lois Brown has completed her review.

  1. Lois reported that the bank check signing card has been updated and is ready for Mark Wilson to go sign.

 

NEW BUSINESS

 

  1. The Bradford Farms Community Yard Sale has been scheduled for Sat May 20 from 7 AM to 12 noon.  The new sign reading “Community Yard Sale Next Saturday” will be posted at the front entrance a week ahead of time.  Sharon Ditto will place an ad in the Huntsville Times.  Lois Brown will print flyers to be distributed to each home approximately 2 weeks prior to the sale.
  2. Lois will handle getting an extra mailbox key from the post office.
